As my fellow posters don't seemed to have realised - "its now September, guys" !!
Today the Chieftain PHOTH is still on V, and the Mustang OEFFB still outside EAM.
The only new arrival is the Cessna T206H GNIME over at Manx Flyers

Oops moved the post here: "Piper PA-31 Chieftain PH-OTH on victor today. Cessna 510 Citation OE-FFB outside EAM much of the day. Return leg of the Monarch charter worked by A320 G-OZBK " 3/9/2012

First a couple from yesterday - "Castle 5" was once again GTELY, whilst PA46 N921GG paid another visit. SELGY appeard outside for engine runs. Today was looking to be another dull one when "Belgian Air Force 320" called about 1345 - this time not one but TWO Agusta 109s - H24 in the Display scheme (ex Fairford) and H26, calling in for fuel. Rumour (well, guess-work actually) is that they could beheading to Portrush for the weekend Air Show

Just to add today Deminair F50 PH-KXX was operating this mornings BHX. A quick question, tonights Easyjet was circling overhead for a while, did anyone have a radio tuned in or know why this was. Perhaps a Gear of flap issue???.

Most unusual to see Easyjet carrying out a full holding pattern followed by a procedural approach, but there was no aircraft technical issue. The same can't be said for the Airport's Radar and ILS systems! It was G-EZIK when it finally landed.

I've had a look at the Portrush Air Show website, and the two Belgian A109s are in the 'static' display.
The website is not easy to navigate and the flying programme is difficult to find. However, the 'heavy metal' items appear to be as follows;
Red Arrows - Saturday only, no time given, but pm.
RAF display Hawk and Tucano - Sunday only, no time, but pm.
RAF Typhoon - Sunday only, no time, but pm.
Last year the RAF Tucano did a fast low pass through IOM Airport, mid morning Sunday. And the Reds traditionally come low over the Island and put a bit of smoke on. So I'll be hanging around, in hope.
In the past we have had B-17 "Sally B", BBMF Dakota, and DC-6 G-APSA in low transit, so anything is possible!
The Portrush items will presumably also do the Southport Air Show, also on Saturday and Sunday, so there may be more transits over the IOM.

Quite a busy day yesterday - firstly with 2 "Fractions", both Excels; CS-DQA in the new scheme, arriving and departing using its fixed callsign "NJE3TR", followed by CSDXY which arrived as "NJE919C" and departed as "NJE741L".
"Westlux 900" arrived as LXWAW for its second stint with EAM this year, and SELGY, which had been outside on engine runs for the last couple of days, then departed.
In the evening Challenger 601-3A N939CC arrived for an overnight stay on V. Meanwhile PHOTH shows no sign of departing.

Todays Birmingham based Flybe flight was worked by E195 G-FBEI. Regular Cessna 550 G-OMRH called in around 1pm, and Challenger N939CC departed around the same time. Easyjet flight was G-EZIL, and finally PH-OTH departed at 15:50.

The Red Arrows snuck up on Douglas from behind, low level flypast, at 1915 approx. En route Portrush - Blackpool for the night (presumably).

A couple of small exec-jets today; firstly Lear 35 DCCCA this morning on its second visit of the year, then at about 1935 the Cessna 560XLS+ PHPKD arrived for the first time on a very short stay of about 25 minutes.

Yesterday saw a return visit by the Belgian Air Force Agusta 109s H-24 and H-26, refuelling on their way back from the Portrush Show.
Another returnee was the Eclipse N27052, this time parking outside EAM rather than on V. Meanwhile, first-timer Challenger 604 M-LOOK came in from Guernsey and stayed on V for a couple of hours.

Interesting call-sign today was "Thundercat 291" which transpired to be the brand new Cessna 560XLS+ G-EYUP on delivery via Reykjavik and the IOM to (possibly Yorkshire ?).
