Not been down that way for a year or so. Between the factory/warehouse buildings and the river there is a broad band of open land over where the link left the north airfield. Access can be from the field beside Speke Hall's pond, or alternatively where the industrial park access roads across the old airfield end.
What I'm not sure about, is access to the link between the two gates across the tarmac ie the section of taxiway below the bund banks within the Speke Hall fence.
Been meaning to take the dogs down there again all summer, but somehow never quite got round to it.

The trouble with this north side of 09 approach obviously being that a decent telephoto lens is required and you will definitely end up with back lit shots most of the time, not good......
What I would like to know though is where jandb in post #12 was positioned to get this south side shot? I don't recall seeing any crafts in the river at the time! Must have been a long range lens and/or and hi-res camera at Eastham!!
Regards, Garry

For Peter & Garry, photo taken from a Bromborough garden with 200mm lens. Definitely not from a boat!

The answer was in post #1 of this thread, way three pages back!
Watch the movements page for Monday, once ane is started! I'm sure it will be on the Airport's website departure page once it scroll around far enough as today progresses.
