Speaking to a person working for the NWAA today and was told they are getting a second Helicopter an ex Strathclyde Police one which will be based at Barton, he thinks the reg is ending in HU At present it is being painted and kitted out. The second unit will give the NWAA a far better response times with two based aircraft splitting the vast area they cover. ;D It will also increase the running costs to about £3.3 million plus, a year. considering it relies in voluntary subscriptions is a lot of cash. Pity are MP`s didn`t think to put some cash down on the expense forms and give it to the likes of these people.

Maddog, you appear to be insinuating at some serious allegations concerning the running of very useful volunteer emergency service. Can I suggest unless you can verify or substatiate such statements this is not the place for them. I am also not sure of the connection of your statements with my original post.

G-SPHU EC135 has been at Blackpool recently (may still be here in CHC Hangar) and has had North West Air Ambulance titles applied.

Here's a photo of the North Wales one, taken at Hawarden a few weeks ago. Hope it helps.

There are two North Wales Air Ambulance helicopters. Welshpool (?) and Caernarfon based. The Caernarfon based machine (which is quite an old MBB Bo.105) is in very similar red Bond scheme to that in the photo above.
