Pretty interesting day today. Dassault Falcon 7X G-SRDG arrived at around 08:10, parking at EAM, gone by this afternoon, no idea on departure time. Two Beech Bonanzas today, both regulars, G-CHGI on victor this morning (gone by the afternoon), and N36VU arriving around 14:30. SE-LLO was sat outside EAM this afternoon, no sign of activity around it though.
EZY633/634 G-EZGN EZY853/854 G-EZAS
Best of all at 15:21, overshoot from RAF Torndado GR4 ZD714 (082), no idea of callsign, and not sure which squadron it is from.

It is wearing a 12 Sqdn badge, but I'm not sure that means a lot, as when I was at Marham this summer (sic) there were a variety of squadron badges present, including some supposedly based at Lossiemouth, but many more without any badge. So I get the impression that the Tornados are all pooled and issued as necessary. Maybe individual squadrons apply badges now and again for publicity purposes?

I have seen both AEDO16 and also AEDO14 on FR24 at the same time, as I keep missing this aircraft as I want to dot spot it with mt new camer. The common one flying around has been using a RRR 27** C/s and that one was usually serial number 330.

I'm desperately hoping that the "G-GG" that called up for training today WAS'NT the RAF Voyager with the same callsign (G-VYGG) that was reported on this forum today heading in the Prestwick direction? I was sat in the museum, and heard "G-GG" being cleared for low approaches and go-arounds, assumed it was a Chieftain, but I never heard much if anything in the way of engine noise, so didn't even bother to look outside! A Voyager can't be that quiet, can it!!?? If it was, and it did, then I'm going to need counselling And yesterday evening (Saturday) at 1630 Citation EI-MED came to V in the dark from Dublin, for a medivac outbound.

Sorry to disappoint (?) you Acklington but I heard G-EIGG call lunchtime after take-off and request holds and go-arounds - the good news it that you are not going deaf

Phew! Thank goodness for that ......
But there is a lesson in this - there are Voyagers trekking ('geddit? - Voyager / Star Trek / Next Generation) all over the Irish Sea, and their callsigns can be anything from "EC" to "Ascot" to "G-VY--", and I wouldn't be surprised if they throw in a "Brize" callsign as well.
Be a lert!
