Sorry to read that news. It comes to us all in the end, but I love reading stories like the one of your aunt and uncle. Sounds like they had a happy life together...another marriage brought about through aviation.

Fantastic picture of Burton wood opps here.....I wasn't quite old enough to see aircraft flying into Burton wood.....but saw lots of American flight in connection with Burtonwood flying into Liverpool airport.
Been looking into Burtonwoods history....and have been told of a cafe site very near to Burtonwood build from an old America Military Petrol Tanker....was based not to far from the main gate.
The service me called it the Hoggie wagon.....not sure if that was the was hoggie was spelt.
Long shot I know......but would anybody have any pictures of the original Hoggie Wagon....
There ware a few more going by the same njame in later year in Warrington.....but its the original I am interested in.

I never saw the original but when I was a motorcyclist in the 50's we used to go for a burger at the Hogie Wagon at Bridge Foot in the centre of Warrington.
