FR24 playback shows G-DHRG doing it's normal Valencia-Manchester routing as TCX9415, until it seems to go-around at MAN and then come straight into LPL? Possibly high winds or something?

Apparently suffered windshear on finals (according to friend who was listening in). Not sure why he didn't have another go at MAN.

A few more from this morning. I'll not put on yet more of the Hawk from the regular angle, however 'Liverpoolman' may appreciate a slightly alternative angle: Both go-arounds by Hawk T.1 XX188/188 in 208 Sqdn markings saw the aircraft low over the runway before power was applied and climb-out initiated. Gave a good side-on angle as passing the mound, also an opportunity for a shot with the hotel and a corner of the terminal in the background. On the second go-around I was back down the lane walking the dog. So a much more underside shot as the Hawk passed overhead ....... .... and as it put power on to climb out, a view under one of the approach light stanchions. To show that I can also take a decent 'standard' approach shot from the mound. The light was good, so why not share? PS Beemer's report fails to mention that there was a short T-tail visible on the horizon, parked on the main apron. Quite likely an EMB-135/145 - any ideas of registration? This was before the German Lear Jet arrived.

There is to be a bit of a Hawkfest this evening with three Hawk T2's doing ILS' on 27. They are to be as follows,
ZK019 Hawk T2 VYT 72 ILS +g/a 27 @ 21:15hrs. ZK010 Hawk T2 VYT 78 ILS + g/a 27 @ 21:25hrs. ZK018 Hawk T2 VYT 267 ILS + g/a 27 @ 21:45hrs. The "T" tailed jet on the main apron is G-EMBI ERJ-145.

Sounds like something louder than a Hawk passing over Runcorn and blasting through to LPL.

Just heard/seen ZK018 exiting the river at low level and loud back towards valley!
