I'm so hoping the Vulcan makes it, have yet to see it fly. I was at Silverstone this time last year marshalling at the Britcar 24HR's and it was supposed to be there, but never made it (not sure what the reason was..). Used to love seeing it as a kid at Woodford and Finngingley airshows back in the mid 80's.
Does anyone know what frequencies they will likely be using on the day for display aircraft etc? I missed last years completely , and the year before I forgot to take my scanner . .. d'oh. !

Thanks for the link, no mention of the Vulcan so far tho Quite a few heli's around on static display as well as flying, I missed getting up close to them 2 years ago, have to remedy that this time (love heli's...)

There was an article about the Vulcan in the echo the other day. They need someone to stump up £15000 to get it to Southport, so if you have a spare few grand stump up!

At RAF Leuchars BofB display last weekend, the 'Falcons' free-fall display team jumped from the Chinook - which then went tech at the very start of its solo display routine later in the afternoon!
It is interesting that for the first time in a number of years, it is intended to open up a landing strip on the beach and encourage a number of aaircraft to appear as a 'static' display alongside the helicopters.
