Thank you to members who mange to photograph the "C17" today and put some images on this thread - appreciated. I did see the "C17" from Beechwood, Runcorn while photographing freight trains but must admit I was was wandering what it was being such a big aircraft - had I known I would been at the mound too. Ah well, at least it was recorded. Thank You.

D-AFPR Falcon 7X landed 14:23 from Moscow. It was carrying Andrea Bocelli, family members and retinue inbound to perform at the Echo Area in the evening. He was late for the pre-show rehearsal, but nevertheless the evening performance was superb.

It was carrying Andrea Bocelli, Glad you enjoyed it Keith, I would have loved to have been there In case anyone was wondering he's an opera singer but one that's not afraid to step out of his field in order to bring music to the masses. Being blinded in a football related incident at the age of twelve hasn't prevented him from becoming one of the best known tenors in the business. Here he is performing something seasonal with Reba Mcentire in a marriage of classical and country music. Enjoy; www.youtube.com/watch?v=w_G5C1Gdbi8For those who didn't like it here's the same song from the king of rock and role; www.youtube.com/watch?v=L9-PN1sftaI

Brilliant pictures and Adrian sorry about the pun but now winter time is upon us nighttime, shots do have to be taken of late arrivals.

I once had the privilege of seeing Andrea Boccelli performing live on the harbour side at Portofino.
An evening never to be forgotten.
I say live, because it was one of those direct live screenings you can turn up for at certain cinemas. Live, Direct, HD, surround sound, mistakes, ad libs and all...just like being there, at a quarter of the cost and otherwise unaffordable.
With the wonders of modern technology, here in France, we can be part of live performances of opera and ballet at the Royal Opera House, London, once a month for 15€ each peformance. Magic.
Sorry to be off topic, but really worth a mention.
