24-1-15. USAF 84-0192 KC-10A "EXTENDER" TANKER/DC-10-30 (Callsign : "BLUE31").
Three GE CF6 Turbofans Powering this fantastic 30+ year old DC-10 Tri-Jet Atlantic Bound, a great sight.
The re-fueling probe can be seen clearly in this photo.
The DC-10 and its variants have enjoyed a cult following amongst spotters for decades.
NWAN Member Philglt Got this one too..at a better angle, than me earlier in this thread.

Another treat for a Saturday Afternoon, The Mighty MD-11, fully laden powering through the sky heading Stateside.
Strangely ,this one only sporting 2 chemtrails, not 3. Maybe the DPF needs looking at on the next MOT !
The MD-11 airframe is much loved by crew and aviation enthusiasts alike, including me !

24-1-15 Air Canada B788 C-GHPX ACA85 TLV-YYZ FL400
A rather fetching Dreamliner Passing by, 6,000ft + above the normal cruise level of other traffic due to its superb fuel efficiency at high altitudes.
This one passing our zone is only half way through its long journey from Tel-Aviv back to Toronto.
Thats some kind of mile munching for a mid sizer !

As this one passed closer, and the angle was a little better, The magnificent design of the 788 wing profile came into view.
Its unique shape help us spotters ID it easy, even at high altitudes.
You have to “tip your hat” to the guys at Boeing 787 R&D.
Looks like something sent over from the Millenium Falcon, not Tel Aviv Airport !

Quite far away but we had such good viewing conditions the BA coat of arms visible on the forward fuselage just in front of the wing /fuselage join.

To finish off the day, 4 aircraft from Turkish Airlines passed overhead our zone.
I managed to get 3 half decent shots out of the 4 missing out on the A340 in Star Alliance livery which incidentally was photographed by NWAN member Philglt featured earlier in the thread. Well Caught Phil !
You don’t get European Airline of the Year Award 4 Times Running without making sure your aircraft are looking good for your staff, customers and spotters alike.
Turkish Airlines excell in this regard and the 3 aircraft here were no exception looking like they have just rolled out of the “paint booth” @ IST.
