Over the past weeks, in the opinion of the site administrators there have been a number of shorter posts that are confusing or due to presentation or errors quite simply totally meaningless, therefore pointless.
This is considered to be spoiling the enjoyment of viewing the forum for some, and has upset at least one major regular contributor to the extent that he has withdrawn his membership.
It is the responsibility of the member making a post to 'proof read' the content to ensure that what is written, reads the same as what they intended to say - especially if their mobile device has predictive text function, so as to be understandable to all. The 'edit' function is available (top right of message box once posted) should the post content not be as intended. I have a rule of thumb when composing a 'comments' post of considering "will I still think this comment necessary and relevant in 10 minutes time?".
This message is not so much about content, but is about readability and conveying the meaning of the post clearly - so please think ahead and read your post before hitting 'reply' and using 'edit' subsequently to correct once posted. Bear in mind too that 'txt spk' (text speak) and some abbreviations are not translatable by all. While I can understand the lack of capital letters when using a touch pad screen the need for, and especially the positioning of, punctuation can alter the meaning radically.
THANK YOU.
