Visited Teruel ( LETL ) Airport, Aragon, Spain, today. It is run by Tarmac Aerosave, a dedicated storage, maintenance and recycling facility. No commercial flights from here. Details of the airport on the following link:
Here are some of the photographs from yesterday at Teruel. A couple of points to note please. The angle of parking, the density, the fence and a drainage channel made taking clear photographs difficult. See for yourself:
Thanks for the comments. Teruel is about an hour drive inland west of Valencia. A marker does show the location on Google Earth but obviously it is not up to date. It is purpose built with no commercial flights as yet. Rumour is that they may open for the winter skiing. The airport is about 15 minutes drive out from Teruel itself, along the A.1512 off the N.234. A dirt track follows most of the perimeter fence. No problem spotting - even La Guadia who pulled up alongside me could not have been more friendly ( not sure about my wife's heartbeat though ). A bit too far for a day trip - no meerkats and no mound!!
