Here are some of the photographs from yesterday at Teruel. A couple of points to note please. The angle of parking, the density, the fence and a drainage channel made taking clear photographs difficult. Hi Bill. Drove through there about 9 years ago. Is the airfield new? Doesn't show on my Google earth ( not unless I'm looking in the wrong place )

Great selection of pictures. I must admit that I'd never heard of Teruel, probably too far to be part of a day trip out via Kemble and Lasham ! Alan

Thanks for the comments. Teruel is about an hour drive inland west of Valencia. A marker does show the location on Google Earth but obviously it is not up to date. It is purpose built with no commercial flights as yet. Rumour is that they may open for the winter skiing. The airport is about 15 minutes drive out from Teruel itself, along the A.1512 off the N.234. A dirt track follows most of the perimeter fence. No problem spotting - even La Guadia who pulled up alongside me could not have been more friendly ( not sure about my wife's heartbeat though ). A bit too far for a day trip - no meerkats and no mound!!

Did you drive back to the UK? I assume you did. We drove St Malo to benidorm in one go. 11 hours. The ex wouldn't stop anywhere on the way down.

I was staying in a hotel in Teruel for a few days and yesterday drove back home here in Spain. Live here most of the time. Have driven the same route as you in the past but took overnight stops.
