Missed the 1700th member who was 'wildlife' joining on 24th June. Amazed that membership continues to arrive at around 50 new members every 3-4 months, and this despite it is no longer necessary to be a member to view the Liverpool section. It is a pity though that of these latest 50 new member very few have felt confident enough to have posted, although I'm pleased that a handful have added to the variety of posts on the forum.

Hello,I don't know whether this is the correct thread to introduce myself but after an hiatus of 35 years I'm finally spotting again after coming across some old log books.!!!! Was a member of both NORWAG and later STARLINER AVIATION SOCIETY. If there are any members of STARLINER that frequent this board I'd love to get in touch! Looking fwd to posting some old photos! Many thanks for the membership! Peace and love Baffaroony

Just noticed that "dbgriff" has the privilege of being our 1,900th member on nwan forum, 2nd August 2016. Welcome.
Looking back over recent posts this shows that we have grown by 200 members in the past 13 months or so.
For the record the forum cumulative totals since March 2009 are 20,608 threads; 105,452 posts. on a Tuesday evening at 5:45pm there are currently 75 on-line, with in the past 24 hours 116 logged-on members and 1,291 guests - a fairly typical number . Most on-line at once is recorded at 547 in January 2011 just before the closing of a Premiership transfer window - I fancy we had been linked to one of the LFC fan's forums to get the figure so remarkably high!
As always, it delights me that there are well over 1,000 visits daily to the forum. We do though rely heavily on a small group of daily active members - but it never ceases to amaze me the scope of coverage of posts made. Don't be shy, new contributors are always welcome.
A big 'THANK YOU' from the Admin team to all - be they regular contributors, occasional contributors or simply viewers. All of you contribute to making this forum a success.

Hello all,
I've just recently joined the forum, I've been spotting at Manchester since 1978, and may well have bumped into a few of you up on the car park. Thanks for allowing me to join up, and hoping to contribute some posts in the future.
Cheers,
ManiSpotter.

Not been watching the membership counter for a while. Notice that yesterday (19th November 2017) we clocked up our 2,100th member - welcome Aerospice.
For the record, the count currently stands at 25,080 threads and 124,863 posts (so an average of 5 posts per thread) since the forum moved hosts in March 2009. At 0920 on a Monday morning there are 71 users on line: 11 logged-on members, 60 viewing as guests. In the previous 24 hours, 1425 users on-line: 1300 guests, 125 logged-on members. I strongly suspect that is not 1425 different people, while logged-in members presumably count once, guests count each time they visit in the 24 hours. Mind you even if all that 1,400 count logged in 3 times daily, that is still over 450 individuals with a daily interest in what we are covering. From the moderators viewpoint that is both highly successful and a responsibility. It is also a great credit to our active, posting members who provide such wide ranging coverage, nostalgia for the past right through to what is about to happen next at the north west's airports. From the moderators a very big thank you to all contributors (regulars and occasional) and visitors/viewers - without you all this site would be nothing.

It is a long time since I added to this thread. However I've just, absolutely by chance, noticed that on Wednesday 30th June 2021 we recorded an extraordinary 1001 members online together! This is very considerably above the previous record set at (a then extraordinary) 547 back in January 2011 just before the closing of a Premiership transfer window - I fancy then we had been linked to one of the LFC fan's forums to get the figure so remarkably high! I simply cannot explain the huge number yesterday apart from it being a 'glitch' in the Proboards system, as to my knowledge nothing happened to get 1000 viewing at the same time.
For the record at 2:30pm on Thursday 1st July 2021 NWAN Forum has 35,753 threads, composed of 171,753 posts. All these are since 1st March 2009.
Membership now stands at 2,303 - I think this total includes applications which have been for one reason or another refused by Admin. It still amazes me the number of forum readers who join, but then never post - the only advantage of being a member is that you have the ability to post!
Currently, during the past 24 hours there have been 109 members logged-on and 1,425 visits by guests - fairly normal numbers for a routine day. The 1,425 is not a number of people, but the number of times viewers 'dial-up' the url. Presumably, if I had looked-in earlier today, the 'guests' total would have been well over 2000 being within 24 hours of the record mentioned above.
Many thanks to you all, readers, occasional contributors and the regulars for making this the fascinating and active platform for recording and recalling aviation activity around Merseyside, the North West and way, way beyond.

A while since I scrolled down to the base of the 'Home Page', and surprised tonight to see some large figures there.
First membership has rolled on, now standing at 2,550 with "Steveplfc". Welcome.
Also in the past few days, the forum has passed the 200,000 posts mark (200,130 to be exact) on 42,788 threads.
Then today there have been 96 members 'logged-on" and a remarkable 2,868 guest visits in 24 hours. Some will be repeat visits for updates during the day. Even at 11.00pm there were 8 members and 117 guests viewing, the majority were looking at Liverpool Airport News and Liverpool Airport Movements. The most users on-line at the same time now stands at 1,338 on 21st October 2021 at 2pm.
There are times I overlook just how popular this forum site is with a dedicated 'core' of members and numerous 'guest' following keeping track of local current events mixed with reports from further afield and a fair wallop of nostalgia too. Thanks to all, active posting members and passive viewers of activity on this forum site. Admin.

Excellent figures and a credit to the site's administrators.
This is just to comment that I don't normally log-in unless I have something to post. So, there must be many 'guests' who are actually members?
