The provision figures for October are out and show that we would appear to be levelling off in terms of this year's reduction in passenger numbers. Whilst October was still down on last year, it was only by 1.7% with a monthly total of 456,975. This gives a moving annual total of 4,831,220 (-11.1%).
I would expect the final figure to change slightly as the ABZ total appears incorrect - I can't believe only 137 people used the service in the month!!!
Other highlights inlcude AMS which was 30% up (at just over 28k), and Faro which showed an impressive 68% jump to just over 15k.
Southampton for those who are interested continues to improve with 1,160 for the month.
To put our performance in context, MAN was 11.1% down for the month of October.

Yes not a bad month all things considering, our decline was a lot lower than most.
and I agree with andyh regarding the ABZ total. it seems every month the CAA post a low figure then it increases with most updates. Im sure sept started with a figure of about 200 and now it shows 1200 used the ABZ route in sept so hopefully Eastern are happy with how the routes are progressing.

The provisional figures are always odd in that the airlines are slow in providing accurate stats.
