I used to fly on G-BEJD and G-BEJE when they were with Dan Air on the LPL-BEL-LPL-LGW mail hub! Great aircraft

Cracking shot of 'IM, she looks well. I did my last ever '748 flight in that aircraft on May 4th 2006.
We were at Kortrijk (EBKT) in Belgium and got the bad news from Ops at Liverpool that the CAA were pulling the AOC and we had to be back at Coventry by 20:00.
We were partially loaded but too tail heavy to fly, so a bit of jiggling about of the freight and we stopped them loading with a final payload of a very appropriate 1748kg! We just made it into Coventry (my logbook says 19:55) the tractor was duly placed behind the aircraft and thus ended 8 years flying my beloved '748.
Maybe when Janes Aviation have finnished with there two aircraft one could fly into Duxford (or Liverpool/Manchester) for preservation? If someone would renew my type rating you could put my name down for that trip!
