I need to see the timetables for the winter but to fill in the rest of the day suggests a return to somewhere approx 3hrs (ish) in flying time each way.

Unfortunately, the mornings rotation before the Lanzarote is Malaga leaving at 08:25. It returns at 14:10. Meeting the new services. The Lanzarote flights actually leave at 14:45 on Tues, Thurs and Sun. The Fuerteventuras at 13:30 as mentioned before and at 09:00 on Saturdays. I didnt check what operates before the Fuerteventuras and what it does on a Friday.
So I presume the A320 will do some GVA, ALC and PMI flights, but a new route to Larnaca or Paphos would be very nice!!!

By using both variants it enhances the airlines base here in Liverpool.

From a quick look at the EZY winter schedules it looks as though in addition to the ACE and FUE flights the A320 will operate the PMI services which are down pretty much to 4 pwk, arriving back in LPL at 12:50. Can't yet work out where it goes first on the other days or what it's doing on a Friday!!!

Interesting piece today saying that the Liverpool/Berlin route is the best in terms of LF (84.8%) into Berlin that easyJet have.
This will be the reason why thay are putting more seats on the LPL/Berlin route with the introduction of the based A320 on Fridays starting 18th December.

In terms of the Easyjet fleet, what extra seating capacity does the A320 offer over the 319, and supplementary question, is the range any greater for a given payload. Thanks in advance for your replies. RT

I was given to believe that the A319s had been 'pegged' to artificially low maximum operating weights (as this obviously helps to reduce landing fees and also Eurocontrol costs). As such, I think the A319s struggle to do flights of much in excess of 4 hours duration as the available payload makes them uneconomic.
The A320s, I think, were originally ordered for the LGW base, ostensibly to replace the GB Airways fleet and have 'standard' operating weights to enable them to do Canary Islands, Turkey, Egypt, Cyprus, Israel etc without any payload limitation.
I wonder whether, with the current economic climate, easyJet expansion into further longer routes ex-LGW has been curtailed for the time being, which may explain why they'd started to do more longer flights (Luton-Tel Aviv, Liverpool-Canaries etc etc) from other bases and the A320s have been spread out a little more.
I am most interested that the A320 hasn't yet appeared in the Manchester schedules (that I know of?) which, although EZY has done other "medium" range flights from MAN (Athens, Marrakech etc), perhaps might give the hint that they might be more inclined to (eventually) start longer-range flights from Liverpool first?
Roll on Sharm el Sheikh, Larnaca etc!

What planet have you been on?. Eazy have only ever had A320s based at MAN The fourth based aircraft, scheduled for Feb, is reported to be the first based A319.
