Looking at visiting the above soon. But struggling to find where to park/spot etc Looking at Google earth seems that parking Woodvale centre itself and walking back down to the base! Can seem to find any laybys on the main bypass Hoping there's light at the end of the tunnel as to say and there an easier place here.
Many Thanks in advanced for any tips Jonathan

Hi, The dual carriageway (A565)that passes the main gate is a clearway,so no stopping don't be fooled by the wide verges you will get moved on.If you drive past with the main gate on your left go to the traffic lights and turn right onto Moor lane and park there and walk back. There is access at the other end but it was a very rough track from the railway station and viewing was restricted by trees. Hope this helps. GR

A slight beware on parking on the wide bit of road just after you have turned right. Many years ago I did this, and came back to find I was blocked-in by a bus - and a driver who refused to move until his departure time (which was only a matter of minutes, admittedly). The Crossens bus terminates and turns there still (or it upto a few years back) - there is more space now than there was many years ago too, last time I stopped there under the trees.

Park in the Freshfield Station car park and walk down the Fisherman’s Path as far as you can go before the last railway crossing. That’ll put you at the upwind runway 26 end. Admittedly poor photography opportunities of the dispersal but better takeoff shots. Hope that helps.
Also very quiet at that end so you can relax without being disturbed! TJS
