'Photo bombing' hadn't been invented then, but Concorde managed to upstage the RAF's Jet Provost display at St.Athan in 1981.
My main memory of Concorde was when I lived near Bristol Airport in the 1980's. Despite official denials (to start with) it was quite common in the evenings to hear the reflected double boom as Concorde came in from the Atlantic towards Heathrow. This depended on atmospheric conditions. Another memory was being told that four Concordes were overhead Lulsgate in formation for a photoshoot. You will all know that magnificent photo, with the four aircraft beautifully lit above the solid undercast!!!!
