Hi. Are there any members here who are also members of the Blackpool Spotters Yahoo group? I requested to join last year and I’m still waiting for my invitation to be accepted. I see the members count hasn’t gone up either so does this suggest there are no more active admins to accept invitations and the owner has vanished?

Yahoo group is still active as the locals communicate movements via the email group. Not sure who the admins are for the group

Anyone who's still on the Yahoo group BPL Spotters are probably well aware by now Yahoo Groups is changing from December 14th and no one will be able to post to any group. Therefore I've decided to create a brand new BPL Spotters group on www.groups.ioThe benefit of groups.io is you can login to the site using your existing Yahoo credentials which saves time creating a new login. Groups.io is very similar to Yahoo Groups and therefore should be pretty straight forward to use. The admin/moderators appeared to have lost access to the Yahoo group resulting in many invitation requests being left unanswered and many people being unable to gain access to the group. Hopefully all or most of the old/current members who are still on NWAN can transfer over to the new BPL Spotters as well as any newbies who tried to gain access to the Yahoo group but were unsuccessful. groups.io/g/bpl-spotters - let's make it as successful as the Yahoo Group. |
