2 ETH positioning flights showing into Liverpool - 1 from CDG and 1 from FRA. Both have the same flight number so presume only 1 will show. ET-AVB, which was one of the aircraft listed in the CAA approval, is en route to Frankfurt, so likely to be the one that will appear at Liverpool.

AVB is an A350. We are apparently due a 787.

Bit of a mess unfolding on Joe Andersons Twitter page. Hes using wrong "@username" twitter links for @worldchoicesports which creates big problems for other twitter account users but at least he is responding and has given help where he could. Hes not putting his head in the sand like @worldchoicesports. Feel gutted for the fans, they have been through the mill today and no mistake.
ETH704 landed at CDG ET-AUO B789 ETH706 landed at FRA ET-AVB A359

Bit of a messy start re runway in use. We have started on westerly despite Manchester rightly staying Easterlies.
OK its only 5 knots BUT..........
Its a long way round the coastal path and with a number having yomped around here from the sailing club already it looks like some have gone back to the mound.

According to various feeds,Seems like a rescue package won't happen now. LFC have issued fans with instructions about 2hrs ago now on how to get refunds tomorrow for match tickets bought through them.
It seems that the American crew issue was not enough rest hrs before departure and make it in time for game.

I would suggest the next final is held in Orlando.
If you intend to use a Mickey Mouse venue, better go to the professionals. There are plenty of flights to and from MCO at less expensive than Kiev by the looks of it. MCO is a top airport run by professionals surrounded by about half a dozen other airports all of similar standing.

I don't know if Ron's comments are tongue-in-cheek but I think it's only a matter of time before the Champion's League Final goes to the US. NBA and NFL games have(or will go)to Wembley. Baku for the Europa League Final next year should be fun

The South Caucasus are a lot less volatile now and the Azerbaijan coast on the Caspian is spectacular
