Sorry I didn’t mean you personally had a trend, I meant in general on forums most take his news at face value if it’s good, but there are others that can be quite nasty in some cases if the news is bad, considering all the guy is doing is reporting schedules at the time of posting, schedules which can and do change frequently and quickly in some cases. Always flabbergasted by how ‘territorial’ some people get over their local airport, considering it’s nothing more than an inane piece of infrastructure that doesn’t thank you personally for standing up for it. No worries, I realise it wasn't personal and, like you, I have seen those territorial posts across other forums. However, I also think it is important to correct any misinformation being posted across the various social and mainstream media outlets. As the admins are constantly reminding us, we need to stick to the facts and not post conjecture. One factually incorrect tweet can lead to a falsehood being reposted as gospel. The negative consequences of which can end up becoming a self-fulfilling prophecy. As I said earlier, it took only a few seconds to fact check and could have avoided the publication of misinformation.

Just to box this off and move on before the admins move in, I don’t think this was misinformation. Certainly not deliberate misinformation anyway.
Wideroe at the time of his posting were tinkering with the schedules, and Sean reports a lot of his posts ‘in real time’. So it’s very plausible that the Liverpool was removed at the time he looked, but he was quick to retract the post once Liverpool re-appeared.
As said, I think we need to accept that aviation is a fast moving environment. Sometimes ‘mistakes’ can occur, and as long as the intent is genuine and good, and not malicious, then we need to accept the information at face value. While I accept you don’t mean any harm, I feel the word ‘misinformation’ is a little harsh and to me, that word signals malicious intent, and he certainly doesn’t appear to have any malicious intent. Hence why I replied originally.
But anyway, the outcome has ended in a positive way, so best to move on and have a good Christmas.

People love and prefer Liverpool Airport and say so. It's dynamic and the people keep it that way. It's easy, cinq plane pour moi.
