If anything Flickr is worse today than yesterday.Pictures time out instantly now.I managed to get four uploaded rather than the nine I was trying, but I cannot even get two to load now...and I only upload at LOW resolution. This is beyond a joke now for an expensive way to host pictures on this forum Phil

Good work, the first are always the hardest - it is a steep learning curve at the start, but once there regular repetition only gets the process faster and faster, as the frequent posters will testify.

Hello Beemer,
Yes sorry I did try to use the dummy guide but I am a complete dummy and can struggle with computers etc. I have other older / recent photos do you think its worth posting them or just start with the pics I take from now on? There is nothing more boring than bringing up old posts with similar pics.
Cheers,
Paul

Paul, welcome to NWAN as an active contributor.
I take your point about repetition when adding to recent older posts where an aircraft is already more than adequately covered. However, the 'nostalgia' section offers great possibilities and the thread visit counter shows that many viewers visit and revisit threads in this section constantly. For example this morning I've been bringing upto date on 'edit' threads regarding jet airliner types visiting Liverpool, before moving onto update turboprop and biz-jet types. As I've been doing so, for the likes of the A.330, A.340, B.747, B.777, B.787 and Fokker 100 and ERJ-170 to 195, I've been thinking it would be great if someone would post recent images of these types at Liverpool Airport to add to the older ones already on most of the 'type review' threads, so recording the variety of airlines and colour schemes seen. Types covered can be accessed from an index post 'pinned' to the top of the front page of the 'Liverpool Airport Nostalgia' Section. Also, as I do the monthly movements, I hope that someone may come along and post a few images of the more notable aircraft that visited during that month, so illustrating the 'dry' tables of the Movement Logs. Shortly (mid/late July once I have all the facts) I'll be compiling a post reviewing the Madrid LFC airlift as a record on the Nostalgia Section alongside Kiev, Basle, Athens, Istanbul, Rome etc - fresh shots from that weekend really would be very welcome then.
When you say 'older' images are you thinking in terms of months, years or even decades? There is great scope on the 'Nostalgia' section for (example) to theme, say, 'photos from 2008', or 'photos from the '90s' etc etc on any of the Manchester, Liverpool, Chester or elsewhere Sections.
Look beyond the airport 'daily threads' and aerodrome visit reports and you will see that there is great potential for illustrating posts NWAN forum even with recent, although not quite current, images.

Hello Viscount / Brian,
No I mean recent (old) threads. I have only just taken up photography and back to spotting again after a 25 year break (kids etc). They have all fled the nest now and I am getting back into the hobby we all love. It was interesting how many South American biz jets I have seen now since updating my books haha!! I have a few old photographs which I may try and scan and upload ( C5 galaxy over the Pier head and P3 orion on the LPL apron amongst others). I will see how I get on, thanks for the advice.
Paul
