I have noticed a trend to have occasional "what is this" for cars so I have compiled a quiz for all you Petrol Head forum members.
Format borrowed from Flight International and Uncle Roger. All however my photos!
Luckily it is raining today as it has taken ages to put together. So time to dust off the cobwebs and exercise the grey matter, best idea is while enjoying a mince pie and glass of wine. Settle back and hope you all enjoy the challenge.
Some are easy some I thinks are very hard. All I would ask is that when doing the quiz , no cheating and asking google. There are 100 points in total to be won. I will publish the answers in a week giving everyone plenty of time, so put your answers up on the forum and note them down yourselves. Anyone who scores the maximum of 100 wins a date with the supermodel of their choice and meal at the Shard+ the car of their choice from the entrants.
So we start with the UK built section

2 points for car , bonus point for model designation

Fairly easy one worth 2 points, bonus point for name of similar model made by Humber

A fast Ford, 2 points for car , Bonus point for specific model designation
IMG_5422 by Clive Harden, on Flickr
2 points for car. 1 point for name of company that took the manufacturer over

May be small but worth 5 points. However for a bonus 5 points can you name another microcar built by this company that had the same name as an iconic British Airliner??
IMG_5420 by Clive Harden, on Flickr
Moving Overseas now . 3 points for the car and two points for essentially what the company turned into today? for 2 more
IMG_5431 by Clive Harden, on Flickr
Not many cars turn heads like this can, 3 points for this sexy beast
IMG_5440 by Clive Harden, on Flickr
Suspect this may cause a few heads to scratch 5 points for this one
IMG_5417 by Clive Harden, on Flickr
You may know the car for 2 points, but can you name the series for another 2 points
IMG_5418 by Clive Harden, on Flickr
Same again Car worth 2 series worth 2.

The tail lights may give it away but what a rear. Eat you heart out Kim! Quite simple I think so only 2 points.
IMG_5414 by Clive Harden, on Flickr
May catch a few out here so 3 points for the car, but for your 2 bonus points name the famous TV programme it starred in and the name of the car on TV?
IMG_5412 by Clive Harden, on Flickr
So what was this microcar affectionately called. for 2 points. Other two are original maker and who licence built it.
No points for this but who made a car that looked very similar.
IMG_5442 by Clive Harden, on Flickr
Some more modern heavy metal but a rare sight on our roads. 3 points for the name and manufacturer. No cheating here 5 points for the origin of the name.
IMG_5441 by Clive Harden, on Flickr
Growing up I had a poster of this on my wall, a true beauty, but what is it you can earn 10 points for this one.
IMG_5438 by Clive Harden, on Flickr
So what is this called for 4 points and what does the name derive from/mean for a bonus 4 points.
