Hi all, is there a way I can embed images stored on onedrive into forum posts? Or do I just have to use Flickr regardless

Possibly … it all depends on the use of the right terms - and I'm not sure I know all the right words!
You cannot 'embed' on to nwan forum as the space to do so has been full for years!
You can though 'link' your photos onto nwan from the likes of Flickr, Photobucket (image 'host' sites) with a unique code.
You can link images from Google's "My Drive" storage - I do, although a somewhat long-winded and repetitive process, but then Flickr or Photobucket can be considered that too!
The big question is, is "My Drive" and "One Drive" simply two ways of describing the same storage function or quite different? PC logo on your toolbar for 'My Drive' is a triangle with green, yellow and blue sides. From My Drive the unique 4 or 5 digit code is generated by gdurl.com not taken direct from the image code on My Drive. That last sentence will likely only make sense once you have followed the process though.
I will write out for you a series of 'how to do it' instructions for creating a link from 'My Drive' to forum if that is what storage you have in use. Just let me know here or by PM. Brian.

Hi pgreeny007, I tried to link the images I have in my onedrive to the forum but without the BB code it couldn't be done unlike Flickr, Photobucket and Postimage which do. Postimage claims to be free to use with unlimited storage but I only have a few saved on this site mainly as a trial to see how easy it is to use and it would appear to be a lot easier than Flickr to use.

A quick chat to our tech guy and the answer is no you can't post your images to this type of forum you will get the 404 error message when you click on it or copy and paste it. He said you can share photos but only via an e-amil link to a contact, text, iMessage or via a post to social media, I guess he means Facebook. He also said the idea behind onedrive is to keep things safe which it does very well. Hope this helps.

right click on the image in one drive, select save image address then surround the image address with image tags [img]myimageaddress[/img] I did the tram but you took it with iphone 8 s , its a bit longer height wise than it should be due to iphone/apple strange image ratios Intentional Smaller Thumbnail of original image Image attribution NWAN member pgreeny007pgreeny the code is below, but the code tag box is too small on this forum what a PITA !, copy the entire line below and paste into your tram post, save changes and the image will display. I will check later and delete this post. [img style="max-width:100%;" src="https://db3pap003files.storage.live.com/y4mPA_2we8AcKdsta9p4-YBK0CanoVcKaHngkspPGRSN7ET7do7wXn8OUUibHJXPFyWHNG3LRxkOGAAjBqAGKZ9N3CseT3hnkILgEp7RwUdcpdj3z-hParXeAGZuG-xpiuojQaIg0mXHTZuidmGJunSntXjpU0BS3d_n1_4A3EczOdcjBNNTQKes6JbQ9YOqs0WzgdwRW6uSqHEDzoxd5NifQ/Lisbon_Tram281218.JPG?psid=1&width=399&height=532"]
or this line for the 3042x4032 12 megapixel original size if you want to show it on other forums (they would prob auto downsize it to suit their respective pages anyway). You can embed brian, embedding is what everyone here is doing (ie hosting on another source and embedding an image code shortcut to that source) Hosting or uploading an image to NWAN/proboards site space is what you cannot do. Also there isnt a "My Drive", you mean Google Drive. You can display just about anything from one drive, google drive, dropbox, facebook, twitter, my space,my face whatever as long as its set to public view.

Radiostation, would you be able to produce a short step by step so I know what to do for the future?
Many Thanks, Paul.

I would like a run through on this as I don't get the option to save image address when right clicking on the image. Most frustrating. Although I have a Flickr pro account so storage isn't really an issue but it would be nice to use onedrive if it works.

Radiostation, would you be able to produce a short step by step so I know what to do for the future? Many Thanks, Paul. No Problems Paul pgreeny007 Images must be in public view/pubic folder of one drive. You will need to open up a wordpad/notepad/iOS TextEdit or similar page first. If you want to display medium size, right click on your image in onedrive and copy the address. Now for some editing in wordpad/whatever paste the address into the page to work with it. Follow the instructions below. To display a larger image, click view original tab within onedrive That will open a larger image with black padding at the borders, like this Copy the address in the bar at the top of the page, this will be a different address than the example with a medium size image abovePaste the address into your editor and follow the instructions One drive has different addresses for different sizes of your images. One drive like google drive gives you 5gb free but thats not too bad, much much more secure than postimage, imgur, photobucket etc and no annoying ads. Hope this helps. Any probs, shoot over a PM. addresses blurred out intentionally. Mike Tip : try out code/image codes first before putting on forum by sending the image to yourself via an nwan personal message.
