Still plodding through my slide collection, scanning and restoring, and just arrived at British Midland's Viscounts. The following four photos may look like they were deliberate attempts on my part to be 'arty', but they are actually photos taken in desperation because no other angle was available. However the results do have a certain atmosphere? G-AZLP, ZNB, BAPG, BBDK, East Midlands, 30 July 77 cfw by Philip Pain, on Flickr These are G-AZLP, G-AZNB, G-BAPG, and Air Bridge Carriers G-BBDK taken at East Midlands on 30 July 1977 G-BAPF, Hot Air, Manchester, 4 Sept 89 fw by Philip Pain, on Flickr This is G-BAPG, now in "Hot Air" colours, taken at Manchester on 4 September 1989 G-BAPF, Liverpool, 1 Dec 78 pw by Philip Pain, on Flickr G-BAPF, Liverpool, 1 Dec 78 (2) w by Philip Pain, on Flickr These two are of G-BAPF taken at Liverpool on a foggy 1st December 1978 Thanks for looking, and I may add some more as I come across them.

Very atmospheric acklington and tbh, it makes a pleasant change. Four screaming Darts and not an ear defender in sight. No wonder those of us of a certain age are partially deaf! I think there should be a collective adjective for a group of Viscounts. A virtuosity, maybe?
