Whilst Liverpool had Hawks, Typhoons and Texans, I spent the day on a very quiet Mach loop where the only real military activity came (of course) on the walk back down to the car park in the form of a few passes by a singular CV-22 Osprey. There had been a nasty car accident in the vicinity around 9 ish with G-WENU landing in a nearby field, taking priority over other flights, and there was a mountain rescue nearby around midday that saw G-MCGK circle overhead for about half an hour before being stood down and making a few passes to relieve our boredom.
