Are there any members of the forum interested in aerial photography. It would be great to see shots of the full apron during events like yesterday. Maybe somebody with a PPL would be willing to take a photographer passenger or two. My PPL went out of currency years ago and I live 200 miles away. I'm sure shots from downwind legs with a zoom lens or high go-around would suffice. I don't know what restrictions on movements are in operation during these events. Individual photos are good but don't give the overall picture. The airport management and newspapers are obviously not interested. Just thought I'd put it out there.

Not quite aerial photos, but the Airport has posted a bunch of photos from the apron of the biz handled on Sunday. Looks very impressive and certainly more than one aircraft per stand!

You don’t need a Facebook account to look at the Facebook pages. Just search Liverpool Airport Facebook on the Internet, it should come up.

Had a look at photos. The hazy sun ,3xbizjet, oñe was the the best of a pretty average assortment. Still hoping for some aerial shots, from, a hopefully, exciting ,event in the future.

Just found great example of what I am hoping for. A photo of all the Caravelles etc. on the North Airfield,as was, from the At. Etienne football. Posted on the FOLA Twitter account. Just found it on an interweb search.!

That should have been St. Etienne of course. Don't you love predictive text.

Thanks Viscount. I was just using this as an example. I had seen this and other photos in the past. Most are from times gone by. There seems to have been a dearth of these photos in recent years. The finals tend to result in drip feeding of outbound flights. Return flights can involve many in the night hours. Not much good for mass photos. No finals on Merseyside likely in the foreseeable future.

To answer the original question. The idea will appeal to a limited few but for those probably a great experience. Now that cost sharing in private aviation is legal even when promoted like this, under certain conditions, and in the right weather conditions for visibility and sun position etc.

Now that cost sharing in private aviation is legal even when promoted like this, under certain conditions, and in the right weather conditions for visibility and sun position etc. I made this suggestion as I no longer live nearby. Gatwick is now my local airport but I no longer spot or photograph any more. The current Google picture of the airport is reminiscent of the old, North Airfield, LPL in the 60/70's. Only one commercial aircraft on apron, not very exciting. Lots of GA. Maybe a better picture will appear at their next update, whenever that happens. The airport management don't seem interested in promoting the airport in this way.
