just passing Warrington and arriving shortly are a flight of 3 Chinooks. ZK560 / LIFTER11 ZK554 / LIFTER12  ?? / LIFTER13 |

Heads up from a friend currently there,
Merlin has left everything else is due to leave at 11:30 heading north west then due back at 14:00 coming in north west over the train tracks leave again at 14:30 heading north west then back in at 17:30 north east

Morning all
I'm off Friday and thinking IF the weather is decent I might toddle up here!
Can someone please advise me the best place to view/shoot from?

Last year they left quite early on the Friday morning.
You need to park near the Altcar Camp entrance.
Then take the footpath Northbound that runs parallel with the railway line.
The Chinooks are difficult to see and are a long walk away!!
