Looks like it is going to be a rough ride ahead!
Italy - Naples and Venice flights cancelled Norway - Norwegian government urging people not to travel and all Norwegian citizens should return home. Denmark - Temporarily closing its border to non citizens. Ireland - I expect the figures will be down due to the suspension of Premier League games. Isle of Man - Capacity greatly reduced due to the collapse of FlyBe. Spain and Bulgaria - Have declared a State of Emergency. Spain will go into lockdown from Monday. Malta - All arrivals to enter immediate quarantine for 14 days. Czech Republic - Closed its border to all arrivals. Poland - Banning all international flights from Sunday 15th March. France - Has introduced a partial lockdown. Romania - To declare a State of Emergency Germany - To close its border with Austria, France and Switzerland.

Bulgaria has declared a state of emergency because they have 31 cases of coronavirus as of this morning. The problem has been exacerbated by a previous flu epidemic which has affected 4000+ people - resulting in their hospitals being full to capacity. Anyone breaking the self isolation law can expect a one year prison sentence. And guess who is hoping to go there in June (flights, hire car and hotels booked)

I am/was due to go to Tenerife with jet 2 at Easter, that’s not going to happen either. Bad news , no holidays and we won’t even have any aircraft to watch. It’s the end of the world!

I'm currently out in Benidorm and I 'm sure deteulada will confirm what it's like. Today even the beaches in Calpe are closed. Got a text from Jet2 tonight saying our flight next weekend is still OK at the moment.

If airlines do cancel flying for a period to most destinations I hope the airport can stay active for Biz Jet, GA, medical and Military flights.
