The incident did not make the 10pm local news. Not many spare stands now.

EZY1888 = G-EZFN. The airport has accepted the EZY flights. The EZY A320s are not due for a couple of hours, but MAN is not expected to open before 0100 local. No mention on the BBC NW news.

The reason for the diverts so I am told was due to a fire alarm in the terminal (? 1) where the control tower is...
Not sure if there was a fire, but the alarm could not be reset therefore the tower was evacuated...
A further incident at Liverpool occured when EI-DLW was (again, so I'm told) unable to start engines and passengers had to disembark and the plan was to bus them to Manchester...
The one thing I do know was at least one passenger was taken to hospital by ambulance from EI-DLW.

For the record, saw G-OJIB operating from Gatwick in full Easyjet colours on Thurs (17.06).
