Malta Airport 3rd March-15th March (part two)

I've finally had time to edit the rest of my pictures. I will once again put them into sections. I hope these are of as much interest as the last thread even though theirs not as many rare ones in this batch. Anyhow on with the pictures

There are a number of helicopters based at Malta for off shore oil rigs and medical flights

Gulf helicopters are for the oil rigs i saw 5 different ones on my visit





The next two are medical ones





Normal scheduled flights













Qatar operated 4 flights a week,sadly i never got to see my last A320 of theirs




Whilst i was waiting for the Saudi hawks, Lufthansa had a change of aircraft for maintenance with the A330 going and the A350 arriving





This hercules was in for a quick check with medavia.



Since i was last here there are alot more bizzjets in and out of the airport































The final part is the view from the new and excellent viewing area on the roof of the terminal. The even have free wifi so you can use your phone to follow planes

Half of the roof is covered to protect you from the elements and the front bit is open for you to sit in the warm sun



This was taken with my mobile phone to show how close you are to the planes



All in all this was a good trip despite there being less movements due to covid 19 and being on lock down for the last few days, i still managed to get 69 new ones in the book
