Norwegians bond sale to re finance was approved today. Share price dropped 51% but recovered to be down 22% at close at 3.96p a share!! Plan involves flying just 7 aircraft for up to 12 months before building up to 110-120 aircraft in 2022. Down from150 pre crisis. Could be a lot of cheap Boeing’s for sale soon!!

Just to rub salt in Boeing woes , Norwegian have cancelled their 97 orders (which is all their orders with Boeing ) comprising 5x787 and 92 Max. Also then want to sue Boeing for their deposits back.

Readers may or may not remember I had a tough time trying to get my two grandson's over from Orlando to France, and discovered that most airlines no longer offer unaccompanied travel for under 12s. Those that did had all sorts of other complications such as not being able to use connecting flights where one of them was the last flight of the day. Icelandair came up trumps but the service fees were enormous and because of the Max affair, the flights from Orlando TO Iceland were suspended just before we went to book it.
We settled for Norwegian. Orlando to Paris direct, with my daughter bringing them. Mum with us for three weeks, Boys staying on for three weeks and me taking the back. Coming home a week later. Believe it or not this only just a little over our original budget. Lots of paperwork and parental authorizations etc.
Well, as you can imagine, in common with thousands of others, the whole lot was cancelled. In fact although it was obvious that cancellation was inevitable, Norwegian only cancelled formally with a few days to go. Our money was returned within 10 days. We had the option of banking the money for nest year with a bonus of 20%, but we decided the safest option was to take the money.
