Did anyone log the departure times on Friday? Not 'log' as such because I don't....however, on the radio I heard: wokka went east to low level corridor and routed back to Odiham around 03:30. Not close enough to read the registration. VORTEX481 on r/t (first wokka departed turdsday around 18:45 as VORTEX515) Second wilccat, as RASCAL381, around 08:50, 4pob, routed over Liverpool then Holmes Chapel/Congleton/Stafford (wasn't a fuel stop) then onwards to Yeovilton (first wildcat left the on turdsday as RASCAL386) Three merlins at approximately the same time as COMMANDO flight. Short local bimble waiting until all three were ready and then to East for low level corridor flying as a close pair with third a liitle behind (R/T a flight of three at this point). Stayed further to the west than the wildcat. COMMANDO3 split and took an squawk before leaving Manchester RADAR coverage. NB. The above mentioned wokkas were the two that came in as LIFTER1/2 on Monday so actually seeing them and reading the reg would be required to be certain which was which if it matters. At some point one of the original merlins might have departed (the one that did an approach to Speke around 19:40 on Wednesday?) as the third of the merlins going out was ZJ130 (which had operated up from Yeovilton, an approach at hawarden, hot load at Altcar, a local sortie over the sea before returning to Yeovilton on Thursday....no idea when it came back). Some nice photos in the thread so big thanks to those who posted.

Interesting about ZJ130, certainly seems that it replaced one of the original 3 Merlins, do we know it definitely went back to Yeovilton on Thursday afternoon?
