Hi All, I was scanning through the model section here and noticed some excellent 1/72 models but very few of the frequent visitors to Liverpool. One of my main collection criteria for both my 1/400 and 1/200 collections is regular visitors to LJLA so thought I'd post a few pictures of the collection grouped by airline. I'll start with the 1/200 scale and if of interest move to the 1/400's who while smaller come in higher volume as they take less space. I'll start off with Wideroe, so far no E-2 model exists in 1/200 just yet so it's just the Dash 8 Q400 making the collection so far. Very nice collection Ryanair flyer. My collection is 1/400 only - don't have the room for 1/200's (so Mrs JD says anyway )

The majority of mine are 1/400 too but I've managed to keep the Liverpool related ones in 1/200 and also a collection of aircraft I've flown across the atlantic on.

I wonder what the former British Air Services Cambrian and Northeast 1970's colours would look like on an ATP or ATR or DHC -8 Q400 .

Between 1969 and 1973 Cambrian underwent 4 changes of colours scheme and within that variations of cabin roof titles from Cambrian to British Air Services, back to Cambrian, then finally British Airways. They were changing over from Viscount 700s to 800s during this time period too. The BAC.1-11s were delivered with the orange-red top and fin scheme.
From Maroon thin under-window flash cheatline, white fin, maroon at top and bottom of rudder and back part of the fin to: Red height of the windows cheatline, light blue tail with stylised red outlined in white dragon head and wings logo Red height of the windows cheatline, dark blue tail with same logo Orange-red cabin roof and tail, white cheat-line and black circle enclosing orange-red logo on fin. Initially Cambrian then British Airways titles. Then to full white top, blue undersides, quarter flag fin, British Airways scheme. Only BA cabin roof titles, initially very small 'cambrian' near nose.
Meanwhile BKS moved from: Red height of the windows cheatline, light blue tail with colour globe logo Yellow cabin top, white cheat line and circular black logo on fin, Northeast titles. then like Cambrian to full BA white/very dark blue scheme and titles.
Given my recent track record on another thread this week, only hope I have the sequence of scheme changes in the right order.

I wonder what the former British Air Services Cambrian and Northeast 1970's colours would look like on an ATP or ATR or DHC -8 Q400 . Something quite unfortunate in the diecast world is that so few models of the ATP have been made, I've pushed a few times, but lack of liveries on mainstream airlines seems to have not made it attractive for anyone to invest in a mould. I have a MANX ATP example made by a British manufacturer, but one of only a few available. You can get some 3D printed ones in plastic in 1/400 now on sites like shapeways.

Next up is Wizz, Wizz is one of those airlines that the manufacturers seem to struggle to get the colours right for as the set below show. We've got an A320 in the original livery, then an A320 in the current plus an A321 with "100th" titles and an A321Neo Wizz A320 in original livery by Aviation200 (they definitely got the shade wrong on the purple) Wizz A320 in current livery by Inflight200 Wizz A321 "100th" titles by Inflight200 Wizz A321Neo by Inflight200
