Running a little late for last weekends 'virtual' IAT air display? No, daily flight for one of the based U2s to the East and back to check up on Putinovich. This particular frame turns on his second transponder occasionally so is trackable via ads-b on those days. Flight each weekday with different callsign (today was HOLEY01)

Does anyone have a rough estimate of times? Ian Fairford is activated by NOTAM. Usually posted around 07:00 and typically with a start time within an hour of the NOTAM.
For today:
U3285/20 NOTAMN
Q) EGTT/QAZCA/IV/NBO/AE/000/033/5141N00147W005
A) EGVA B) 2007210730 C) 2007211700
E) FAIRFORD MIL ATZ ACTIVE, AD, RWY 27/09 OPEN.
B and C are the date/times of interest. Note that it's UTC
Activated from 07:30 (fairly typical) and departure will normally be within half hour or so. Deactivated at 17:00 so it has to be back by then (though new NOTAMS can be issued to alter times).
The NOTAMs also have useful information about other things - eg. temporary frequency allocations which were NOTAMed to the 1st June and then subsequently a new NOTAM to change the end date to 31st July
