The worlds first GE90 powered 777 was ferried from Heathrow today into retirement by British Airways, this was of course the 200 series G-ZZZA. Had a good innings , Was delivered to them in 96. Another RIP😢

:-( :-( love the sound of those engines, with the 747's gone Heathrow will sound a lot more quiet and different. Not sure I like that ;-)

The ZZ triples were a joy to fly on especially if you were working down in economy, the galley was enormous compared to the later VII series. They squeezed 17 into First class Which was only full if you were going to the Middle East , happy days 😄
