Just reading that "Aer Lingus is contemplating ending its Transatlantic services from Shannon and moving the two A321XL(LR) used to ply them to an airport in the UK. The Irish times has reported. According to sources they have scouted British airports regarding their interest and their terms for the basing of aircraft for the transatlantic flights. It has received a total of six bids, including from Manchester and Birmingham, as well as four other undisclosed regional gateways in the UK. Aer Lingus is to trial the transatlantic routes out of the British Airport in 2021 for a total of three years.
According to ch aviation schedules , AL normally uses the two A321s based out of shannon to Boston, New York as well as Heathrow.
I wonder if LJLA could be one of the 4 undisclosed airports???
