Could it be the spelling mistake in the word RESQUE instead of RESCUE?

You're both quicker off the mark than I was when looking at my slide! It is not a 'mistake', rather some comedian from 772 NAS probably got at it with a paint brush in the night. Also the large dayglo zap on the nose is the 772 NAS badge. An RAF Gazelle HT.3 can just be made out behind, in 2 FTS colours coded 'Z'. But XZ939 'Z' is recorded as being with the ETPS Boscombe Down in 1988. In the photo a 772 NAS dayglo zap can just be made out on the top of the fin. XV720, 60 Sqdn, IOM, 20 July 93 by Philip Pain, on Flickr Wessex XV720 seems to have attracted 'Rescue vandals'
