Operating the Isle of Man service until then were:

At the request of the Manx Government, Loganair commenced a twice daily, 7 days a week link		
between the IoM and JLA, initially using a Saab 340B in full Loganair colours on Thursday 12th March.										
Right at the end of the month, with other routes no longer operating their own EMB-145s were used			
from Monday 30th, the Saab 340B being returned to Estonia.

Operated Fridays and Mondays, with the exception of Friday 20th and 27th and Monday 30th, however for		
an Anfield home game, the Sunday rotation did operate on 8th only.  There was also a charter over the same	
weekend flown by EMB-290s, covered in the main visiting aircraft log.  The Bergen flights continued into	
April and will be covered with the April/May movements.

our Vienna flights in the future.

THE WIND-DOWN OF SCHEDULED FLIGHTS DUE TO COVID-19, SPRING 2020

Italy was the first European country to introduce travel restrictions. Spain's severe travel restrictions introduced Saturday 14th March. The UK introduced non-essential travel and social contact restrictions on 16th, and from 23rd all non-essential retail, hospitality and industry was 'locked-down'. Many of the final flights to the UK were essentially 'repatriation' flights, for which initially EasyJet attached 9000 sequence flight numbers. As this was confusing, after a few days, the usual numbers were applied.

Apart from positioning flights and air tests to maintain serviceability, there were no further EastJet or Ryanair passenger flights until mid-June. First airline to re-introduce flights was Wizzair, while Wideroe are unlikely to start again before fans are allowed back into football stadiums.

The return to service is proving more difficult to tabulate as some services started then ceased as rules changed and airlines adjusted to changing demand. I'll include a return to service table in the July monthly visiting aircraft logs.

Wideroe continued to operate repatriation flights to Norway, long after SAS had ceased their UK flights.

LOGANAIR: 'LIFELINE LINK' TO ISLE OF MAN

 				
						
Isle of Man	IOM	Continued operation throughout for the Manx Government.	Details with each monthly report.

Loganair, who had only just commenced operation between Liverpool and the Isle of Man at the behest of the Manx Government, contined to operate right through the UK 'lock-down' as a 'lifeline link' to the Island. As the situation got worse on the mainland, passengers had to be approved of before travel, but flights continued right through the State of Emgergency mainly at a basic frequency of twice weekly Monday to Friday, with none on Saturday and one on a Sunday.
