I visited Altcar yesterday (Wednesday)
Almost everyone we spoke to gave a different version of events - guesswork becomes fact!?!?
Wednesday's first mission launched at 16:30L (5 Helicopters)- with a further single Merlin launching at 18:00L.
Serials confirmed in the air :
Merlin ZJ123/G & ZJ131/P Chinook ZK551 & ZK556 Wildcat ZZ517 & ZZ531
One further Chinook can be seen on the ground, and the serial for this has been suggested to be ZK552 (unconfirmed by me)
I believe first mission time on Tuesday was circa 14:30, but only 3 launched with the Chinook element tech.
Hope this helps.

This question has been asked, and answered with clear instructions, before/during previous exercises. I'm just on the way out, anybody care to find a link (likely back around this time last year)?
Hopefully someone will beat me to finding the link, otherwise I'll have a look in several hours time.

Public footpath/track along the northern boundary is the best place to view departures, stop about 100m short of the beach and you’ll be right underneath as they depart Altcar

Had a good day there today, followed the track all the way round from Hightown and ended up on a mound about 100 metres from the beach

Merlin ZJ123 has already departed heading south, not sure if ZJ131 was with it or not.

ZJ131 left in the early hours so ZJ123 was a singleton
