I hope I've posted this is in the right section - it's military nostalgia, but at a civil airfield. Just a few shots taken on 11 September of the latest addition to the Solway collection which arrived in February last year, a Gannet that had languished at White Waltham since 2006. At first sight it looks to be in poor condition, but that's partly because they've started rubbing the paintwork down. I think the gantry is to assist with re-attaching the wingtips. The front end looks to have been recently repainted, while the rear is a work-in-progress.
