The tower is situated to the south of the runway, on a parcel of land which I assume is owned by the airport company. What about the surrounding land south of what appears to be the airfield boundary and the tower? I.e. the fields which appear to be under cultivation. Who owns that land?
Separate question. If a person with the means to do it could buy a piece of land and erect a chalet and parking area for plane enthusiasts would that idea stand any chance of being allowed

From what I've heard the land on the South of the airport is all owned by Peel with the farmer being a tenent of Peel.

Will be interesting too see if Liverpool make any redundancies to the fantastic air traffic controllers as they control Doncaster radar from Liverpool and with the last flights now rolling in I wonder if they will have to get rid of some staff

DSA controllers have been given notice and redundancy meetings start next week.

Can I just ask sorry who have you been told by ? Directly from the horses mouth - "It was noted that Air Traffic Control at Liverpool controlled Doncaster airspace remotely though there was no envisaged impact to operations for airlines and general aviation traffic at Liverpool."

Hope Liverpool aren’t going through any staff shortages? They seem to be constantly advertising for radar controllers recently!

Hope Liverpool aren’t going through any staff shortages? They seem to be constantly advertising for radar controllers recently! Maybe its due to Jet2 coming in and having recently reverted back to H24 in April?

Hope Liverpool aren’t going through any staff shortages? They seem to be constantly advertising for radar controllers recently! ATC staffing is a worldwide issue, pretty much every airport in the UK is short of ATC staff at the moment.
