Do they really have 3 or 4 aircraft to operate flights from LPL & MCR on the same dates. Also, are the MCR flights in general an indication that LPL is reaching the limit of aircraft it can handle in short periods of time. Apron space needs to be kept for scheduled flights.

In general terms over past year it has been Manchester who are short of apron space rather than Liverpool, or has the work on terminal gates now all been completed? Also I am sure that there are aircraft retained by charter agents anticipating Manchester supporters from Manchester, they are simply transferring the capacity to Liverpool supporters, keeping their reserved slots/stands at Manchester for their (and maybe the operator's convenience too) - rather than their potential passengers. My uninformed thoughts.
Not surprised by the participation of EasyJet, Ryanair and Vueling, they have stepped in to provide scheduled service seats for several finals now - what the comments so far do show is not just the lack of British operators, but the few there are don't have aircraft to spare at a weekend, despite profits to be made!
As for Ethiopian and Air Caribe it has been my understanding when 'exotic' operators were involved in past finals, that they have aircraft weekend stopping in the UK/Europe being primarily a weekday scheduled long-haul business operators.
The was speculation on a post (that I cannot now locate) that given the number of Enter Air flights from Norway in recent weeks, they clearly should aircraft available, however were not appearing on any of the early lists. My thoughts are that these could already be reserved by the charter agent in Norway (who clearly have a working relationship with Enter Air) to take fans from Norwegian Cities to Paris, or maybe by Spanish charter agents using them from Madrid.

Presumably the Ethiopian flight from Manchester will utilise the day stopping aircraft that arrives ADD-BRU-MAN whilst the Liverpool flights will use the aircraft that day stops at CDG.

Could it be that those flights from MAN are still in the system with the expectation that City would get to the final?

Could it be that those flights from MAN are still in the system with the expectation that City would get to the final? It’s hard to say at this point as many of the flights were added in the past 24 hours, so post city loosing. Air France for example raised MAN from 4 to 5 daily over that weekend last night.

I think, like last time, the brokers they will swap and change aircraft around. What was due to go operate from Liverpool will operate from Madrid and vice versa.
