Hi Guys I have a question. I am not very well clued up on the best places to spot from at Warton but I have noticed that the 737 G-SHRS has been on the ground there for a number of days now. I am tentatively planning a drive up there tomorrow morning and I was wondering where the place place would be to see it on the perimeter if anybody could advise? Kind regards clive.

If it's in, it will usually be parked on the north apron, although it sometimes goes to the south side to load up. You can get closest to it by going along Bank Lane at the west end of the site, although the views aren't great. You should also be able to see it in the far distance from the lay-by on Naze Lane East just south of the end of runway 25, which is also the best place to watch take-offs and landings when the wind is out of the west. It usually takes off for Akrotiri around lunchtime every Wednesday (usual disclaimers apply). Also, if a red and white van is airside near the lay-by it's worth hanging around as it means a Typhoon or Hawk is either flying or planning to fly.
