Having been on the receiving end of a 'lamb-basting' recently, I thought I'd ask. I spend as much time as my shifts allow at the airport (27 end) and take photos. I often take a few dozen and post the best 3, 4, 5, or more as I see fit on here. Am I really offending this site by doing so I don't record the comings and goings as so many on here do. So, tell me, frankly, am I doing this site a dis-service? I will stop if so.

Hi, Keep the pics coming, those enthusiast's that take them and would like to share why not. The fact you've had 25+ viewings without any thing negative must mean something!
Cheers

There are no hard and fast rules on posting photo's that I am aware of and I've posted a few hundred on here in the past. Unfortunately, I'm having a few problems downloading them onto my PC at the moment, so haven't been able to post any new ones for a while.
Don't worry about the lack of replies very few of us get them. Every now and then someone will like a particular one and say so. I've found that although there are over 300 members very few post anything. As testimony to a lack of replies, take a look at the Industry News thread. There are lots of posting I've put on that have not received a single reply.
It's pretty rare to get a lamb-basting but we all get them if someone feels that we have fallen out of line. Don't let it stop you posting. Remember the old adage - you can please most people some of the time but you can't please everyone all of the time.
Most members like to see photo's even if its regulars like easy and Ryan, especially if their new to the base. So don't be disheartened and keep the photo's coming.
Steve

Thanks for the replies gents, it's reassured me that photos are welcome.
I do try to get as many non-based and rare visiting aircraft as I can, but as I said, not knowing what's what ie; based or non-based, I also post those pics that I think just look good/interesting.
Cheers,
Cliff.

Hi Clifftop Put any photo's you want on. If people dont like, dont look, dont comment!!!!! Considering only a few of the 300+ members posr anything, the others have no right to moan. Keep it up. Mark

What really annoys me is when the Forum was off line every one was saying, "I miss the Forum", "Life's not the same with-out the Forum" and now that it's back on it is not used to it's full potential. Three hundred + members and about 50 regular posters while the other 250 just read. I talk to members and I say did you see the thread about .... ? No I didn't see that. Did you see the photos I put on about the trip too ....? No I didn't look at that thread. I read every thing on the Forum but I like certain subjects more than others. I don't read about Flight Sim (respects to Paul Derbyshire as that is is his baby) as I have no interest in that sort of thing while I know some people live for it. There is one thing I am not in favour of that is the constant use of "links" as I would prefer ( on a personal note) for members to type there own words on the subject in question. My personal thoughts only. Regards Beemer.

I don't contribute a great deal to the site (same with the old site) but I love reading the posts and, especially, looking at the photos. There are people on here who post some damned fine photos and I look forward to seeing them. Both Beemer and Cloud Warrior spring most readily to mind. Unfortunately I haven't had much time to visit the airports recently, in fact not for about 8 months. So this site is a great source of information about what is happening in the region and it keeps me up-to-date with all the aircraft which pass over my home in St. Helens.
Keep the photos coming. I love 'em!
Ray

Aircraft related pics are always wanted whether anyone replies to them or not, I agree totally with what Brian has mentioned about the new style forum. let`s just hope it is just a slow pickup. Perhaps some old members still don`t know it`s back on in this form ? So restrictions on submissions, err just post Page three style photo`s onto the section covering things un related to flying

Hey Cliff For me a picture paints a thousand words, so keep posting. I cant imagine why posting pictures of aircraft on an aviation site would cause a lamb-basting (sounds tasty). I was a regular photo poster on the old site, but lack of internet and fewer airport visits have curtailed this. I hope to get back online in early May.

Well, it's comforting to know that there are lots of like-minded members on here. I put one picture on a 'new' thread, because I didn't see the original thread for that date. I got ONE 'lively' reply, pointing out ONLY the fact there was a thread for that date. I made a tongue-in-cheek reply, and it went daft. Okay, that's in the past for me now. I will keep taking pics and putting them on here. Thanks. Cliff.
