Ste-t, I feel that if you are right and that it is 1 in 10 members who make posts on here, then that is actually a very high figure. The vast majority of internet users do so to find information, as they are not in the privilaged position to know that information from either observation or 'inside' sources. It is of no concern to me that the 'core' of postees is only around 30 out of 330 registered members - I will usually only respond to posts where I have information/knowledge to add. Many of your news sourced comments are of interest, but I have nothing that needs to be added. Members consult this site to find information, not because they posess it. That though puts pressure on the likes of Beemer, Hawker, Ste-t and myself who have information (at times) to share to do so.
Observation wise on this forum, what I find of interest is the number of views a one post thread gets, not just in the first 24 hours, but how the count continues to rise slowly over a number of weeks. Just as for any paper published enthusiasts magazine there are sections I will look at every time, some I will look at when I have a little longer to browse, and a few sections I will never (well perhaps occasionally when nothing else to do) read. Applies to nwan forum just as to Aircraft Illustrated. Fortunately we are all different in our interests. My historical entries I know will not suit everyone - but are easily avoidable. I was more than happy with over 100 readers of the Fokker visitors entry recently within the first 36 hours. I must admit though duplicate threads on the same subject upsets me, as do titles that don't fit the content.
Which neatly leads to my last comment of the evening, that despite the title of this thread, Clifftop's posting of photographs was never really at issue - the issue was a rapid excange of insults in words. The words had very little direct bearing on the photographs.

The words had very little direct bearing on the photographs. I feel I have covered this in my reply #14 on this thread. Putting one picture on, in error, caused some bleddy ridiculous responses. Perhaps none of us should take this site nor ourselves TOO seriously

Hi guys, Personally, I would love to see more pics of the KLM activity at LPL - it's been a long time coming and I am no longer in the area to view it ...

Hear hear...a number of us are now living away from LJLA and aren't able to get back so often as we'd like, so the pictures are a fantastic way of keeping up to date. Specific to KLM, as we've all said this is a massive leap forward for the airport...I'd personally love to see a bit of a photo exposee of the first month of operations. I assume there must have been a number of chops and changes of aircraft over that time to warrant an interesting photo collection.
