Some photos of the more interesting in-bounds to MAN today. They are taken from home, situated just East of Hyde. I wouldn't normally bother taking photos from home as aircraft would usually just be silhouetted against a bright sky, but the snow on the ground reflecting light on the undersides worked quite well. LN-RPH (1010) N845MH (1025) TC-MCF (1029) N1KE (1140) D-AGWF (1151) A6-EDL (1205) A7-AEG (1235) G-EZGC (1304) 5A-LAH (1414) Cheers Shaun

Nice shots Shaun. I too made my way to MAN for the AN12, just a shame my shot was backlit. Bitterly cold day and strange how the fog kept drifting in and out. Anyway, here's two from me....

Avro - excellent shots. Good use of the reflectivity of the snow. I used to get some excellent shots on a clear winter day when I lived in MSP. As an aside, I traded shifts at work yesterday and ended up flight planning both the Delta flights into MAN for the first time since moving to ATL - so I especially enjoy the picture of DL64. The forecast was for the fog to lift right around arrival time - which it obviously did. The weather was so bad around the UK and indeed throughout Western Europe that I had to use CDG as the alternate for DL64.

These are some of the best photos taken for the forum--and that is praise indeed.Truly well done.

Not a good result for MAN yesterday (6th). The evening FR flight landed 20 mins late and was held on a taxiway for over half an hour as - apparently - gates were unavailable. Eventually arriving at the terminal there were loads of gates free, and to make matters worse we were then subjected to a (very cold) tour of almost the entire airfield on a bus before being allowed into the terminal. I know MAN and FR aren't exactly the best of friends at the moment (if ever!) but it's a horrible way to treat passengers and didn't reflect at all well on the airport.
