Ravenair have used up all the G-RVR? Allocations. Some are elsewhere. The reason for G-RVN? Is due to the raven callsign.

Evoant's reply came as I was researching a full and detailed comment on the G-RVR* and new G-RVN* sequences. RAVENAIR REGISTRATION SEQUENCES Of the 25 registrations in the G-RVR* sequence, Ravenair have used 21 (of which 17 are still in the fleet), while of the 4 allocated elsewhere, 3 on are Van's types and one was on a Robinson R.22 Beta. Of the 25 registrations in the G-RVN* sequence, Ravenair currently have 2 (with a further 6 current candidates in the fleet), additionally 3 are already allocated, all to Van's types, so unavailable to Ravenair. The complete G-RVR* Sequence: G-RVRA PA-28-140 Cherokee G-OWVA sold, now with Mona Flying Club G-RVRB PA-34-220T Seneca G-BTAJ G-RVRC PA-23-250E Aztec G-BNPD sold, now with West-Tec Ltd G-RVRD PA-23-250E Aztec G-BBCM G-RVRE Partenavia P.68B D-GIFR G-RVRF PA-38-112 Tomahawk G-BGEL G-RVRG PA-38-112 Tomahawk G-BHAF damaged beyond repair, dismantled and cancelled G-RVRH Van's RV-3B Regn used by a private owner G-RVRI Cessna 172H Skyhawk G-CCCC sold, now with Truro Aerodrome Ltd G-RVRJ PA-23-250E Aztec G-BBGB G-RVRK PA-38-112 Tomahawk G-BGZW G-RVRL PA-38-112 Tomahawk G-BGBY G-RVRM PA-38-112 Tomahawk G-BGEK G-RVRN PA-28-161 Warrior G-BPID G-RVRO PA-38-112 Tomahawk G-BOUD G-RVRP Van's RV-7 Regn used by a private owner G-RVRR PA-38-112 Tomahawk G-BRHT G-RVRS Robinson R.22 Beta Regn used by another operator, now cancelled G-RVRT PA-28-140C Cherokee G-AYKX G-RVRU PA-38-112 Tomahawk G-NCFE G-RVRV Van's RV-4 Regn used by a private owner G-RVRW PA-23-250E Aztec G-BAVZ G-RVRX Partenavia P.68B G-PART G-RVRY PA-38-112 Tomahawk G-BTND G-RVRZ PA-23-250E Aztec G-NRSC The G-RVN* sequence allocated and used so far: G-RVNA PA-38-112 Tomahawk G-DFLY G-RVNB PA-38-112 Tomahawk G-SUKI G-RVNC PA-38-112 Tomahawk G-BTJK re-regd 9.11 G-RVND PA-38-112 Tomahawk G-BTAS re-regd 11.11 G-RVNE Partenavia P.68B G-SAMJ re-regd 12.11 G-RVNH Van's RV-9A Regn used by a private owner G-RVNI Van's RV-6A Regn used by a private owner G-RVNS Van's RV-4 Regn used by a private owner Ravenair's current fleet, yet to be re-registered in 'their' sequences: G-BMOI Partenavia P.68B arrived 11.11 G-EMMS PA-38-112 Tomahawk G-HUBB Partenavia P.68B G-ORVR Partenavia P.68B G-BFBD (probably not a candidate for re-registration though) G-VVBK PA-34-200T Seneca Additionally, G-ORVN is also currently available for use by Ravenair, should they consider using it.
[/size] If I were Ravenair (which I'm not), in the new sequence I'd maybe initially use the last letter that is not currently in the fleet. So I'd use G-RVNA, G-RVNC, G-RVNG, G-RVNP, G-RVNV first, then the rest alphabetically from G-RVNB. Or maybe I'd just work logically through those registrations still available and not 'nicked' first by Van's RV series builders! Whichever, I would though ensure, to prevent confusion that: G-RVNB is not a Seneca, G-RVNE/RVNX are not Partenavias and that G-RVNF/K/L/M/O/R/U/Y are not Tomahawks. LIVERPOOL FLYING SCHOOL SEQUENCE The other Liverpool GA sequence is the G-LFS* adopted by the Liverpool Flying School. There appear to be 11 of 25 possible registrations still available for the future, with 14 used so far, 12 by Liverpool Flying School and 2 by Leeds Flying School. The current LFS fleet of 6 aircraft are all registered in the G-LFS* sequence, with the Tiger Moth remaining in its genuine 'period' marks. G-LFSA PA-38-112 Tomahawk G-BSFC LFS current G-LFSB PA-38-112 Tomahawk G-BLYC LFS, sold, now privately owned G-LFSC PA-28-140 Cherokee G-BGTR LFS, sold, now privately owned G-LFSD PA-38-112 Tomahawk G-BNPT LFS, damaged beyond repair, dismantled and cancelled G-LFSE PA-28R-200 Arrow G-BAXT LFS, sold, now G-DSFT privately owned G-LFSF Cessna 150M G-BSRC LFS, sold, now on Belgium civil register G-LFSG PA-28-180E Cherokee G-AYAA LFS current G-LFSH PA-38-112 Tomahawk G-BOZM LFS current G-LFSI PA-28-140 Cherokee G-AYKV LFS, sold, now privately owned G-LFSJ PA-28-161 Warrior G-BPHE Regn used by Leeds Flying School, now privately owned G-LFSK PA-28-161 Warrior SE-IAD Regn used by Leeds Flying School, now G-SELB and privately owned G-LFSL ....... Pity that the registration details isued to an aircraft are, unlike those issued to motor vehicles non transferable, so RV will never get a full set.

I am of the complete opposite thought. Thank goodness that aircraft registrations in the UK are NOT re-usable. Tracing which airframe seen from Italy, Norway, US, Manx registers can be a nightmare - all permit re-use of serials.

Hello there. Does anybody know when G-LDVO arrived at Liverpool? Its a wheelbarrow, sorry, a monowheel Europa and is sat in the Ravenair Hangar next to the bright red Falco. Looking on G-INFO, it does not seem to have been issued with a permit yet, so it must have been roaded in. Any ideas. Thanks.

The Europa G-LDVO has been covered on the forum, with both information and a photo. However, after quite a while digging through past threads in both the 'Residents' section and 'Airport Movements', I cannot locate the post. Added a few minutes later on 'modify':The Residents List on www.nwan.co.uk reveals that it arrived by road on 2nd October 2010. Just used the site 'search' function, for possibly the first ever time, and after some expansion of the search period, found that the photo was on a post date titled '3rd October 2010' on the EGGP Liverpool Movements section. Currently accessed via index, top of page 11, of that section.
