Having just checked your facebook for more of my photos I've found another sunset shot and an aerial view of the Anglican cathedral, ironically taken from a LFS aircraft Please remove them, and in future ask for permission when using photographs .mic

I agree with Mic here, He should have been contacted before using His photo's (the exif data proves there his photo's).
I find this is bad practice As you as a commercial business should know better than what is essentially stealing his photo's and using them as your own! without crediting him or even contacting him first!
edit... Yes this is my first post but I've used this forum beforehand under the name Mynameisnemo.

Tut tut. You aren't doing yourself many favours what with the Ravenair closing post, best flying school claims and now this.

Advice to anybody wishing to either have a pleasure flight, or learn to fly. Approach Merseyflights portacabin then turn immediately left and enter LOMAC Aviation offices. A superb place to learn to fly with genuinely nice people. Give them a try instead. Can I also say nice speech by CARMEDIC? Spot on!

I am wondering what the guardians of this site are contemplating about this offence.
With photography as sensitive a subject as it has become in the world what with the anti terror laws and numerous copy right laws and several arrests of photographers these breaches are not as trivial as it may first appear. I find it unbelievable that this member or organisation stealing these shots and uploading them to many forums as well as this one dis not understand what he or they have done or are doing. I also have not seen any apology concerning the matter.

Sadly it appears that I have also been "used"..... Posted on NWAN 6/5/11 And here on the Merseyflight Facebook picture wall (pic no.7) www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.183101171718072.46276.182963615065161To add, I originally posted my pic, as I suspect did others, after a request from Merseyflight to post pics of their aircraft..... Re: LPL.Friday.06.05.2011. « Reply #12 on May 6, 2011, 5:54pm » -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi guys, wondering if anybody could get some photos of Merseyflights aircraft? There are plenty of pictures of easyjet and ryanair but nothing on the smaller stuff. It looks like it will be a nice day tomorrow and we have all our aircraft flying lots all day and would really appreciate it if you expert photographers could get a few pictures. Please find below the aircraft flying tomorrow, PA 38 G-BVHM Cessna 152 G-FIGA PA 28 G-AVGI
Many thanks if you can help. I think that this request for pictures would have been an ideal opportunity for Merseyflight to ask for the permission of the photographer to use the pictures. Like others, I would have gladly allowed My picture to have been used elsewhere. Ian.

I also have not seen any apology concerning the matter. I have been patiently waiting for some kind of apology to appear here - if that fails to appear they will have a visible "warning" put against their membership. People post photos here in good faith for the enjoyment of other like-mided members - not for exploitation by a commercial company who should know better. As Beemer said, a small, polite request to use Merseyflight aircraft photos would probably be granted, but to just lift mic's non-Merseyflight photos without a word is wholly unacceptable. Merseyflight have certainly done themselves no favours here whatsoever Dave (PS If you currently Google "merseyflight air training school" this thread comes up third on the page, so if anyone is checking them out they will come across this!)

Merseyflight would like to appologise unreservedly for anybody that has been upset by the reproduction of their photographs. We would like to point out that we put out a request for photographs and contacted certain individuals that had a particular talent with Aviation photography. We received many responses to our request and yes we used a number of the photographs that were submitted to us. At no point were they copied from any website as some have suggested.
If anybody has seen a picture that they believe to be theirs and wishes it to be removed please let us know.
Merseyflight is Liverpool's No1 flying school. It flys more than twice the number of flights of it's closest competitor in any given week, month or year proving that it is the No1 choice for the North West, UK and Europe.

Merseyflight, I have never been asked or have submitted photos to yourselves for use in your website/Facebook/Flickr. You have used three of my photographs, all lifted from the NWAN forum. These are G-BGRR, G-CEGS and G-VMCG and I have the originals to prove it. What annoys me is that you have creditted yourselves with the photos when it should be me. I will draw this matter to a close if I am given the credit for all three photos on all the websites other than that they should be removed. Regards Beemer.

That seems a very big boast for a small, newish company - can anyone verify their claims? Given their apparent misuse of photographs and the poor standard of English and grammar used on this site it surprises me they can be "the No1 choice for the North West, UK and Europe." Maverick
