In fact, only M-YZZT is actually based - the others have not even visited.

Hi Bob
Sorry, I did not mean to cause offence - just wanted to clarify before another incorrect list of "residents" began circulating (given the title of the thread)! Unfortunately not everyone seems to understand that just because they're on the Manx Register they are not necessarily based here - neither are they often based where the company that owns them is incorporated, which is the address shown in the register. Also, its called "Tax Efficiency" rather than "Loophole" !!
Cheers
Marquis

I think I understand the tax escape when you buy and reg an aircraft on the Manx register, then sell or transfer it to another country register i.e N or another. But what benefit is there swopping one M reg onto another M reg, or is just owners trying to get a type of private reg?

Agreed, I don't understand why aircraft are transfered within the register. Take M-ONTY becoming M-ERRY, just for another M-ONTY to turn up later. Other examples are:
M-LLGC - M-SKSM M-OORE - M-FLYI M-ABUS - M-IABU M-FPIA - M-FUAD M-EILA - M-ATHS M-NICK - M-CICO
