Dear Mr. Cameron,

Please find below our suggestion for fixing the UK 's economy.

Instead of giving billions of pounds to banks that will squander the money on lavish parties and unearned bonuses, use the following plan.

You can call it the Patriotic Retirement Plan:

There are about 10 million people over 50 in the work force.

Pay them £1 million each severance for early retirement with the following stipulations:

1) They MUST retire.
Ten million job openings - unemployment fixed

2) They MUST buy a new British car.
Ten million cars ordered - Car Industry fixed

3) They MUST either buy a house or pay off their mortgage -
Housing Crisis fixed

4) They MUST send their kids to school/college/university -
Crime rate fixed

5) They MUST buy £100 WORTH of alcohol /tobacco a week .....
And there's your money back in duty/tax etc

It can't get any easier than that!

P.S. If more money is needed, have all members of parliament pay back their falsely claimed expenses and second home allowances

Let's put the pensioners in jail and the criminals in a nursing home.

This way the pensioners would have access to showers, hobbies and walks.

They'd receive unlimited free prescriptions, dental and medical treatment, wheel chairs etc and they'd receive money instea d of paying it out.

They would have constant video monitoring, so they could be helped instantly, if they fell, or needed assistance.

Bedding would be washed twice a week, and all clothing would be ironed and returned to them.

A guard would check on them every 20 minutes and bring their meals and snacks to their cell.

They would have family visits in a suite built for that purpose.

They would have access to a library, weight room, spiritual counselling, pool and education.

Simple clothing, shoes, slippers, PJ's and legal aid would be free, on request.

Private, secure rooms for all, with an exercise outdoor yard, with gardens.

Each senior could have a PC a TV radio and daily phone calls.

There would be a board of directors to hear complaints, and the guards would have a code of conduct that would be strictly adhered to.

The criminals would get cold food, be left all alone and unsupervised. Lights off at 8pm, and showers once a week. Live in a t iny room and pay £600.00 per week and have no hope of ever getting out.

Is it just me, or does anyone else find it amazing that during the mad cow epidemic our government could track a single cow, born in Appleby almost three years ago, right to the stall where she slept in the county of Cumbria?

And, they even tracked her calves to their stalls. But they are unable to locate 125,000 illegal immigrants wandering around our country. Maybe we should give each of them a cow.

What a brilliant theory. Now get this - it is NOT a theory but a reality.
The Government have appointed a French IT company to manage the review of the registered disabled in this country. Yes, a French IT company. They, in turn, have recruited doctors with no experience of the diseases being investigated to analize if the sufferers are eligible for disability benefit. This French company - remember its an IT company - is paid on successful returns to work so have made the interviews and the questions an exercise loaded with trick questions and exercises. Before any of our right wing fans jump down my throat, let me say at the outset that I applaud any effort to get the shirkers and scivers out of the benefits system. However, if you are in a wheelchair and unable to walk, one of the exercises - undisclosed at the outset - is to ask you to pick up a bottle of milk from the table in front of you. Do it and you are classed as capable of work. There is no indication as to what type of work you are capable of or how the doctor, who, remember, may not have any knowledge of your ailment, came to this decision. It is all decided on the number of people they can get out of the benefit system and the French IT company's drive to make a profit. What madness is this? Don't think I am making it up, it is happening. Which caring Government, non-elected at that - dreamt up a scheme which penalises the most vulnerable and shies away from taxing the fat cat bankers?
Before I start getting hate mail, can I suggest that those who do not believe that this is happening telephone the likes of the Alzheimers Society, Multiple Sclerosis, the Downs Syndrome charities and any other charity dealing with terminal illness cases and ask what they think about it. One such group is so concerned that they are holding workshops to coach their most vulnerable to "pass the test" - remember these are NOT shirkers and skivers, they are our disadvantaged fellow human beings. You can write to your MP and ask them to intervene but they are too busy filling in their expenses claims to care. Am I being disingenuous to our MP's? Well. yes, if the silence which has greeted this exercise is anything to go by. Our claim to be a caring nation is finally evaporated and we go on giving money to the scroungers and skivers and to overseas nations who stash it away amongst their corrupt politicians. Can anyone tell me why, when we are taking money from our own disabled, we are giving overseas grant aid to India which has a space programme? Do we have rockets? Can we afford rockets? No, but we support India and other nations who have. Take to the hills, the lunatics are running the asylum.
I will finish here as I have to attend to lunch for my disabled wife.

liverpoolman1, can I add that the system of "trick and loaded" questions has been around for some years, my wife who is disabled went through Spanish inquisition and failed to qualify for any of the benefits she is medically entitled to. One female heavily pregnant Doctor who did a home assessment on a Saturday morning asked my wife is she could bend and touch her toes, she suffers with degenerative arthritis of the spine, answered that if she did she would not be able to get back up again, the Doctor wrote that my wife "REFUSED". ( massive difference between unable and refused).
Another question was how does she manage to shop, again I heard her clearly state that prior to the spread of the injury caused problems, she would happily shop and carry the bags home after a night shift. The Doctor transcribed that into "the patient reports that she walks on a regular basis 1 - 11/2 miles carrying shopping bags. ? The interview had many more examples of this. We appealed and again she lost the panel was worse than anything I have ever witnessed in a so called court in over 30 years of being in them. She now refuses to go through the process again even though her medical condition had deteriorated badly she refuses to be humiliated again, especially when the appeal court had a waiting room full of perfectly fit and able people lying and pretending to be ill and mental to get a payment. Which they succeeded in doing so on the same day she failed. You have obviously the same experiences.
